How much should I water? |
| This is probably the most frequent question we get. This is no way of answering this precisely with a short answer. Why ? Because how much you need to water depends on the plant size, plant type, light, temperature and humidity. However if you are doing container growing and watering by hand here is a quick rule of thumb; When you walk past your plant lightly kick the container; if it moves you water. If you use grow light here a few rules of thumb; Under strong light with top irrigation, you need less volume but more frequency of watering: Water at 25% of the stonewool volume per plant with frequent watering. Under lower light, you need more volume but less frequency of watering: Water at 75% of the stonewool volume per plant with much less frequent watering. In an ebb and flood system the only choice is “100%” water volume each time the system is flooded. |
